Few foods are as popular as pizza. The dish is so popular that people are willing to do extremely bizarre things to it in order to make their recipe stand out. Some Swedish guy recently made headlines after he demanded the local pizza shop put kiwi slices on his pizza. This recipe is not like that recipe – this one actually tastes objectively delicious.
This White Pizza Monkey Bread is a delight for all involved. And because it’s made with alfredo sauce, you’re going to fall in love with it. It’s saucy, cheesy, and absolutely delicious. I can’t stop nibbling on the one I just made while I finish typing up my recipe.
People love this recipe not only for the taste but also because it’s great to share. You get to break off pieces of the bread and dunk them in the sauce. It’s the perfect type of recipe for an appetizer for the Super Bowl or another big gathering. You could also bring it for a pot luck like the one they’re having at my job in February.
Ingredients for the White Pizza Monkey Bread.
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
- 1 ½ cups finely shredded Italian cheese blend
- 1 tube Pillsbury refrigerated pizza crust
- 2 cups (1-inch round) mozzarella balls (about 24)
- 2 cups Alfredo sauce
- Basil, freshly chopped for garnish
- Nonstick baking spray
When you get all these ingredients together, it’s time to preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Grab your bundt cake pan and spray it down with the non-stick spray. Set that aside, and start mixing up your ingredients.
You’ll begin with adding the garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and shredded cheese into the same bowl. Set that aside and move onto the next step.
Unroll the boxed pizza dough and cut it into 1 ½ inch squares with a super sharp knife. Be careful!
Wrap each square of dough around a mozzarella ball and then dip each one into a bowl of Alfredo sauce.
Then dunk the sauce square into the bowl of shredded cheese and spices. You can probably see why this is going to be so tasty.
Now arrange these nuggets of flavor into your greased bundt cake pan. Make sure you create a uniform layer.
Finally, you need to bake this dish for thirty to thirty-five minutes. Keep it in the oven until it is golden brown. That’s how you know it is done.
To serve, invert the pan, and the White Pizza Monkey Bread should pop right out. Make sure it lands on your serving dish.
Serve the dish with the remaining Alfredo sauce. Make sure it’s warmed before putting it out for your guests.
